SO cute!! That is a good idea letting her keep just a couple keets to raise. One of our guineas is hatching her keets in just SIX days and I am soooo excited! She had 24 eggs when she started but she's out on the field (With a cage overtop for big-predator protection) and I haven't been able to catch her off the nest to see how many eggs she still has. She hasn't kicked any out so I'm hoping for a good hatch.

out of 58 eggs the pair hatched out 39. they still have the original 9 keets i let them raise. Two females and one male protect them, so far they are doing a good job. Let me tell you it is no fun taking her babies away from the mom. It would be very wise to get some help!! I mix in game bird starter with the adults food so the keets get plenty of food, and it is nice to see the little ones feeding with the adults.
