Thinking of moving the coop closer to the house, just a better location for many reasons. It will be about 50 feet from where it is now. Chickens free range all day so they go in that area all the time. Will The move confuse the chickens at night as to where to go ? Will it stress them into stop laying ? -Thanks

They should be fine, as they should recognise the coop and go to it. Put some food near if your concerned they won’t go to it but they should be fine

It might and it might not...have read both ends of the spectrum on that.
Some folks have no trouble at all and some have to catch the birds and lock them in the coop for a few days to re-'home' them.
I doubt the stress would make them stop laying, but it might make them lay out in range area, again you'd have to lock them up to re-establish laying in the coop.
Best of cLuck!
Do please update us here as to how it worked out.

I moved my coop to the other side of my back yard a few months ago. They were a bit confused at night and kept wandering over to where coop was originally so I locked them in the run at around night time for a few nights, they then caught on.

Mine weren't laying in the coop but were laying on a chair on the back porch with an old kitty litter box on it. I eventually fenced off the area where they are now and just put the darn chair with box in their run, They are still using it. All 3 do not lay in the nesting box in the coop.....????? But whatevs.
