I have 2 eggs on day 14 and 1 on day 1. 1 of the older ones formed an air sac on the fat end of the egg. It was stationary, but now it has started to move when I rotate the egg during candling. Could the chick be okay? Or is it already definitely gone?
Thanks.

There's supposed to be an air sac on the fat end. You have them stored fat end up right? Or on their side?
If it's moving I think it's detached, I think you should stop turning the egg to give it a chance to reattach.

Sorry, I worded that oddly. I know the air sac should be on the fat end, I was trying to say that it was forming right and now it doesn't.
And actually my hens have been "storing" them, so they are all on their side.
Also, thank you, I'll make sure to leave that egg alone until it hopefully hatches next week to avoid even accidentally turning it.

That's okay I just wanted to make sure. :)
On their side if good too. I think it will be okay because it still has some time left before hatching so it should attach back where it belongs.
One thing I'm unsure of is where is the aircel when the egg is on its side? I'm no expert but i'm wondering if the egg should be placed fat end up so it reattaches in the right spot... I'm so sorry I wish I knew more about detachment of the aircel.
