Hen did Not accept chicks last night, no talking pecking at chicks when they came out or moved.... so I placed her on the roost. This morning she went into the other nestbox (I had blocked the one she had been in) with no eggs. But she seemed a bit more alert and wasn't pecking at my hands this time. When I reached under her she started clucking soothingly and "got comfy" on my hand. So I thought, you get one more chance... since it was daylight I would be able to monitor things better. She accepted the first right away and there was lots of talking. I slowly introduced the other three and she seems to be happy with all of them!

I will be watching closely, but everything seems great. So for me, daytime introductions worked when nighttime didn't.
