Moving chickens -Anyway this will work?

We have 30 chickens from 5 months to a little over a year. Well we just finished the new pen well away from the house and today is move day. I am thinking they love bread and I will buy a cheap loaf of bread and lead them from the yard to the new enclosure. I just hate the thought of going out after dark and moving 30 birds. I would say the distance is 100 yards.

Any other ideas?

The new pen is 10x20 one long open room. We have 41-3 week olds that will jion the flock when they are around 3 or 4 months old. That is another reason I need the big girls moved the little girls need their old coop.

It depends on how well your birds come to feed call. If mine got out into some grass, I don't think there is any way I could get them into a pen. Maybe some temporary "wing" at the gate to help drive them in?
