Moving Chickens

I'm wondering if anyone does this and what the experience is.

I want to raise large flocks of laying hens and meat birds.

I plan on having two hoop houses--a spring/summer one on pasture and a winter one closer to the house. (I live in WI, so we have very cold winters).

Any ideas how I would move the flock from the winter house to the summer pasture?

Do you think they'd follow me?

The hoops would be at least 100 yards apart if not more.

How do/would you do this?

I'd say get all of them at night with boxes and put them all in the new coop, they'll have to be locked in that coop for a few weeks so they don't try to go back to the first coop.
