Moving chicks outside to their coop - how long do I keep them cooped up before allowing into their r

Hello! We're moving our 6 week old chicks out to their coop this weekend. We plan on keeping them "cooped up" without allowing access to their run to help them acclimate to their new home and get comfortable. How long would you suggest keeping them in there before allowing them outside access? I've heard as much as 3 weeks, but that seems excessive.

i kept mine in for 2 days, well, 2 nights and let them out the 3rd day
