Moving chicks outside

So have some new chicks that are now 5 weeks old and fully feathered. Here in Idaho it is now 30 degrees F on average at night. They are in garage with a heat lamp that keeps their brooder at 65. Would it be to much of a shock to move them outside? The garage is fully insulated so should i just turn the heat lamp off for a week first and see how that goes?

I would turn the heat lamp off for a few days first. I put mine out at 5 weeks but there are 30 of them to keep each other warm. It snowed 3 days later.
