i have a friend from australia who is wanting to move to the united states, she has 8 adult muscovy ducks she keeps as pets and eggs.. what would it take and what would it cost to move them from there to here?

Oh boy have no idea, have them call customs & local veterinarian ??
So glad you joined in.. :welcome
:frow
Hope she can bring them!! We have 3 small Muscovy's.. You might want to post in the duck thread..

been searching that and asking all day, i was hoping maybe someone on here had to go through it already

Maybe the birds wouldn't survive such a long flight. It would be much better if the birds were rehomed and not subjected to all that.

She shouldn't bother right now. We are having an avian flu epidemic that has caused millions upon millions of chickens in the Western states to be destroyed. So far our government has been able to contain the virus to the Western region. Water fowl are the number one carriers of this virus. I doubt customs will allow her ducks to come here now.

You bring up a good point. I think imports and exports may be banned period for now. Even inside the USA I've heard you cannot send birds out if you live in a suspected virus area.
