currently day 28 (21 for chicken) of incubation for some runner ducks and chickens. two pipped yesterday and have since hatched, dried, moved to brooder (maybe hatching pullet egg was a bad idea, it has made one seriously tiny chick. but seems to be doing well so far!)

the two of them knocked the other eggs around in the night. is it ok/better to move them back to the positions they were yesterday? (can sorta tell due to markings made on the shells in pencil). or can they hatch 'upside down' with no ill effect? seen nothing from any other egg yet, but i know they could be hatching for another couple of days.

thanks!

ok, cheers! last hatch i did there was one that pipped and (drowned?) that was knocked over by another chook. though still unsure if it died because of being knocked over or if it broke into its own yolk. sad times
