Moving my flock help

I once travelled about 400km (248 miles) with 40 hens in a hatchback (car). They were in crates and we kept the windows open for air flow and they were fine… As long as you can keep them out of harm's way, under control and cool enough, they should be o.k.

In my experience of moving birds, they don't fly in panic, once under way, they just lie down..
I always put a pan with ice in it. as the ice melts, they can drink the water. always nice and cold and no sloppy mess.
don't worry about feeding them in transit.
it is not that far and they probably won't eat anyway.
in the truck pen up what you can, like the ducks in their cage,
