Hello,
I have 12 hens and 1 rooster (ages range from 10 to 3 years old) in an 8x8 coop. My DH built a 9x10

coop. I have 6 new pullets about 13 weeks old and 3 roosters that grew up togehter.

Question: I want to move the older girls and the new pullets into the bigger coop and put the 3 roosters

in the smaller coop. Will the older hens have a problem with the move, since they have been in the

smaller coop all this time? I don't want to stress them out......Thanks!

A move is stressful period. Sometimes you have to give them some to accomplish what you want to do, You will definitely have to keep them locked in the new coop for a week so they get to think of it as home and not the old coop.

Ok...Thanks!

I will just have to keep telling myself when they stress out..."the new coop is bigger/nicer/the run has more shade."
