Moving Outside But Rain and Storms 3 Days

We don't yet have wire covering our coop windows, but I have taken the chickens to their attached run daily this week. They love it. I was going to finish the coop security today and move them out permanently, but now we have 3 days of rain and possible storms. Should I:

1. Move them out anyway and use the 3 days to lock them in the coop and make it home? I'm concerned their first experience with the coop will be scary winds and they won't want to go back in later.

2. Keep them in their brooder until Monday when the rain/storms are done (I have 9 and they are getting big, but the brooder is also quite large at 2'x12'). I just don't want them to go crazy stuck in there 24x7 for 3 days now that they are used to the big run outside.

Thanks so much!

You've completely left out the information on how old these chickens are.

My favorite sermon here is to trust your intuition. It will serve you well. In this case, you are conflicted about this move with the forecast for this period. It tells me, and should inform you, that you will be a nervous wreck for the duration of the storm. The chicks will be fine for a few more days remaining indoors. So. Do that.

I went ahead and put them out. They are 6.5 week old Brahmas and Rocks. It's 59 degrees today, but they seem okay. Tonight I'll close the windows in the coop so I don't have to worry about coons.

@azygous is on the same track as what I was thinking. When I am conflicted about something that I am about to change - and I don't really have to change it yet- why do it?
