..and of course the chaykins are coming! Phoenix area, so it is a scorcher a fews months out of the year.

I was wondering how hens will take it, I'm currently in SoCal and we had a few 100+ weeks last summer and some of the hens were panting quite a bit. Electrolytes, plenty of shades but even at night the bigger girls, Brahma, Australops were still overheating.

I'm sure we have quite a few BYCers from AZ, any recommendation on keepin' em cool will be appreciated!

Leave the hose on and !ale them puddles, buy a cheap mister that you hook up to the hose, kitty pool, fan ,ice treats, frozen water bottle.

Awesome! sums up some of what I did last summer :) mister worked pretty good, but kitty pool, nobody seems game to get wet much lol... could've been my setup. Good news it'll be a coop complex design from scratch so I'll keep that in mind. Maybe a concrete setup with a lil' pond would be more accessible.

Thank you @ButtonquailGirl14 !
