moving to coop at night

As far as the light goes I was having issues with lights in there. (electical cords, extension cords, heat issues etc) So, I got a few of those little lights you just put along your walkway and they are solar powered. (they are about a buck now that they are on clearance. walgreens) I pulled the top part off and put them on top of the coop (where I had drilled a hole) they charge all day and give some light in the coop at night. They fade off after a while, but that is okay with me
This is the best AH HA i've seen yet! I will have a problem running electricity too and this solves the problem for the short term!

Thanks Jenny1!

Thanks for the great idea! Here's my little twist on your idea if you don't mind. :) Last year we bought a rope light from Menard's that is solar charged. You use one single charger that attaches to the end of the rope light. It's made for going around flower beds and that's what we have been using it for. Until now

Now, unless I can find another one at Menard's like it, I'm going to use that rope light in my new coop when my babies are ready to go out! lol That way I only have to poke one little hole in the wall of my coop and run the LITTLE wire for the charger through it.

Thanks for planting the original idea into my brain, Jenny1... lol
