Moving to Greenville, SC area

Hello everyone! We are moving to the Greenville, SC in July with 7 chickens, 3 guineas, and 4 dogs and would like some input on roo-friendly areas.

Pretty much everywhere, people like roosters here. If in doubt, talk to your neighbors i'm pretty sure they'll be fine with it.

Thank you so much! We were under the impression Roos were a no-no in city limits. This is encouraging!

Technically they are, but you'll find most of the population here have had chickens or their family did and have no issues with them.
Just talk to your neighbors, a good friendly converation really goes a long way in the south.

There are still affordable areas partway between Greenville and Spartanburg, although lots of new construction has been going up in the past 5 years or so. If it's zoned farm, you can have roosters if you want. Check out Egg Well Farm if you're looking for chicks next year.
