Moving to new coop how long before turned out to play ?

Next week my young girls SLW ,are moving to Big chicken coop.They have grow up in the garage and had the run of the backyard for 4months.The coop is where the bantys and welsummers live.Everybody free ranges and then locked in at night. Putting them together is not main concern The BIG question is how long do the new ones stay locked in coop before being turned loose ??

We moved ours 4 days ago. Started out going to leave them 2 days and nights, door malfunctioned and they got out after one night. The 2 white leghorns went right to bed, the other three RIR's were going to roost on the ramp just in front of the coop door. They just set down. We poked then through the door and they went to roost. After that everything has gone rather well. But would still have liked to have left them one more night.

Thats encouraging ! The only roo I have has been flirting thru the fence and the girls are getting interested in him sooo maybe it will be ok. I just have visions of them going far far away and we really like these girls!
