I have 12 chickens that I want to move with me to Oklahoma. My biggest concern is moving to an area that doesn't allow chickens. Looking to move near Oklahoma City. Can any one tell me a good location that isn't quite in the city that you can keep chickens so I can look for a house in that area? Im looking at Choctaw area. Need to be close to Tinker at least withing a 40 minute drive.

If you are moving to Oklahoma from out of state you need to find out the state of Oklahoma's laws on importing poultry. Oklahoma Import Regulations.

"Chickens, Game Birds, Waterfowl and Turkeys:
Currently participate in NPIP (National Poultry Improvement Plan) :
CVI or NPIP form 9-3
OR
Not currently participate in NPIP:
4 Months and older: CVI w/i 30 days of entry + Individual ID by leg/wing band + Negative Pullorum/Typhoid test within 30 days prior to entry
Less than 4 months age: too young for Pullorum/Typhoid test, shall originate from a
current NPIP flocK."

If you are just relocating within the state of Oklahoma you can ignore the above.
