Moving to the Coop?

moved mine at 2 weeks they are fine probably wont need a light it gets to mid 30s 40s here at night my rir and white and brown leghorns dont use a light and are fine rir are 10 weeks leghorns are 6 or 7 look like yours they are leghorns right?

It's recommended that new chicks not be put with adult chickens until roughly the same size. Many folks create a temporary, wire wall in their coop so that the chicks can be seen, but not hurt.

we are ready to put the 4week old chicks into the chicken yard in a "tractor" type pen until full sized and can be integrated with the older hens. we plan to use the tractor for game hens after. how much space do they need if they are not going to be in there permanently? we want it to be easily movable by hand....
