Hi there... just an observation, but I have been all over the forum boards in recent weeks. I do not usually know enough to add to the conversation, so I am not posting. It makes me sad because I still am a "New Egg". How long before I can actually contribute and move up to out of the brooder?

Yeah Kooshie,

Were you a new egg for like a day.

We passed 4000 within like minutes of each other. Look at you now.

Hathaway...,

You do know enough to welcome new members, ask questions, offer support, and gently/carefully respond to unanswered questions. That would be a meaningful way to increase your post count. You could also hit up the games forum. If you read a lot of posts you'll soon be able to share, and do not be afraid to offer your opinions nicely.

An alternative? Buy a Golden Feather membership, then you can choose your own title! It also gives you more PM and pic storage space.
ETA, and it's for a good cause. Hmmmm..... hey Nifty, is a GFM tax deductible?

take your time and answer as you go/ feel comfortable with. Then you will move on out of the ranks and grow. I am only on, when I am, so i am moving/growing slowly, like a Jersey Gaint.

But some people recommend answering "new to the form" posts. It makes it easier.

Everyone starts out slow.

I had raised chickens when I was a kid so I had that experience to lay back on.

BUT, I have learned so much in the past two years.

The other day someone saw a big hen jump into my lap and called me "The Chicken Whisperer". Yeah right.
It's called handing them bread and finding whatever else they like, it's sitting in the coop to observe behaviors.. eventually they get used to you.

AND... I learn something new here every day.
