Moving with Quail.. Tips? Suggestions?

Im moving and taking all my pets with me (including my Button Quail) , and its a 12hr drive up the coast from where i am now, so are there any tips or suggestions for travelling with buttons? ive moved with cats and dogs before but not birds.

I transport all of my buttons in paper bags. They are dark enough they don't get so easily spooked, if they jump around they wont hit their head, they can still breath. Not sure if you have the same type of bags available but I get mine from the grocery bags I've gotten. I put pine shavings in the bottom to absorb any messes so the paper doesn't have to.
