MPC Rainbow Pullet 5wk Pics & 10wk Pics *New*

Yes, the barred chick has white bottoms of her feet.

I'm still considering the Brown Leghorn versus Welsummer. I may have both since I have 10 with 1 Rusty Red Welsummer Roo (think Rusty will be his name). At what age do the earlobes "grow in" with color?

Extra Q: In the first picture there is a little EE behind the Welsummer/LBLH chick. As it is still really little, could it be a bantam? Would they give you a bantam on the Rainbow Pullet Surprise? What is the difference between a pea comb and a single comb on the little ones?

How is this batch developing? I'm still trying to decide if I have Wellies or Light Brown Leghorns- they look like the bird behind the Welsummer in your first shot. I have a Wellie roo, but I hatched him a week before the MPC shipment arrived- he's way more red than the 8 brown chicks I got shipped.

I'm trying to determine if anyone else got a bunch of roos- I am thinking I got far more than just the 10% error ratio they claim- 3 silver laced Wyandottes and 4 gold! Also a white leghorn and a cuckoo marans roo...

The bird behind the Welsummer/ Brown Leghorn in the first shot I believe is a Golden Phoenix. Here is a picture of it. I have two of them. they have really long tails. I did get two roos. One Welsummer and one Splash Polish. The rest are hens. Wyandottes develop redness to their combs early, so don't give up on them.

Those are welsummers. My wellie pullet has yellowish skin too- not bright pink. They look just like mine.

I can't see the earlobes on your brown ones, but my set that look just like them- with which I was having trouble- are showing white on their earlobes now, so I know they are leghorns.

I really should have known, b/c my Wellie roo the same age walks right up to be held and these girls are TERRIFIED of me. Hate me.

The white is a leghorn, too- I got a lot of the same breeds.

Very pretty, but you have to force cuddles on them!!
