~*Mr. Chicken 2010 Contest!*~ The Winners Are Anoinced!!!

Great thread, everyone has some gorgeous roos!

ChickLover, someone may have already pointed this out but thought I had better mention it: Jasper has some pretty nasty scaley leg mites, hopefully you are already treating him for it. If not then there are some pretty useful threads in the emergencies section if you do a search. He is very handsome though. Oh and just as an aside, he is a red sex link roo, not a Delaware. Still gorgeous though.

Name: Darkflight
Breed:Black Rosecomb/Black Silkie
Age:3

he'd make a great mr. chicken because he's not only amazingly handsome, he's also an adoring and devoted boyfriend to a beautiful girl who doesn't really fit in with the rest of the flock. he loves his two sisters and mother and gets along great with his father and will protect his family from any danger. he's even good with the humans!

these two are from when darkflight was as young and cocky as, literally, a spring chicken.

Hello... I know I'm posting sort of last minute, but I hadn't found this before now!! I'm glad I did!

Here goes:

Name: Remington
Breed: Buff Orpington
Age: About 1 1/2 years old

He should be named "Mr. Chicken 2010" because ever since I got him he hasn't ever attacked anyone! He is so careful with the ladies and always alerting me to predators!

When I am outside I can just walk up to him and pick him up! He is beautiful and sired me a wonderful little man this spring! His baby is just as nice and friendly as him!

Thanks for looking!!

Posing for the ladies. I'm sure it doesn't hurt that his outline is heart shaped!

Ever ready to protect his flock.

Never too busy to find his hens a treat.

Name: William the Great, known to his friends as "Willy Wyandotte" or just "Willy"
Breed: BLRW
Age: About 1 year old
Although he's far too modest to ever knowingly engage in such a competition, I'm nominating Willy as Mr. Chicken 2010 because of his amazing physique, beautifully colored plumage, willingness to be ever on guard against danger to the flock, and his lovely manners with humans and all the fowl of the barnyard. He's never one to start trouble, but willing and strong enough to finish it if the need arises. Willy is truly the portrait of tough, but tender, rugged and handsome. The strong, silent type, Willy announces his presence with a deep crow only a few times per day. And last, but not least, is the confident swagger to his step that no good rooster would be complete without! <smile>

The same thing could be said about the BLRW rooster I had. The time a fisher cat carried off one of his hens, he went chasing after it, across the road and through the woods. He found his way back home, without his beloved hen, while being admired by the neighbors and stopping traffic to cross the road again. He died suddenly of unknown causes about five years ago and is still missed to this day,

Name: Diablo
Breed:Black frizzle cochin
Age:About 7 months

Mr.Chicken 2010 ???? He is a very sweet /devilish boy. Devilish when he is in small cages (thats how he got his name) . Sweet any other time. Has a very nice crow. Really red comb and wattles and overall beautiful. Oh yeah and he is my brothers chicken but I take care of the birds. Well done with the talking here he is.

Okay, everyone. The judging has begun! We will only allow three more submissions until no more people can enter! ChickLover98, Eenie114, and I will begin judging right now through private messaging. We will discuss our favorite five, then post them right here. The official winner will be announced any time between now, and Christmas! So, until then, good luck and merry Christmas!
