Here's the latest in barnyard fun - its all the turkey babies!

Mr Pipps surrounded by all the crazy chicks - we need to put him in with TurkeyMomma pretty soon so he can get some piece and quiet.. oh geez.. i hope its a "him" or will it be Miss Pipps?

they are just the dickens.... our 3rd and most ridiculous BR hen, Runner, has started to lay again - we are hoping she'll set a nest too!

thanks everyone!!! we just think they are the bees knees!

however, we had a loss today. we think that TurkeyMomma stepped on, or jumped down from the perch on, one of her Six. so now we are down to five and a little sad about the whole thing.

on the upswing, Runner, our most ridiculous BR Hen, is laying and i think i might just put some of her eggs under one of our reliable broody chickens.....

The hens do that sometimes - out of the Hollands ours hatched we lost 2.

On a good note though all the poults they raise will be better mothers the next time around. We are working towards having all our breeders hen raised.
