Well, duh, I didn't tell where I'm located . . . And Mr. Roo was so psyched up!

I'm in Benton, Arkansas. I'll try to get my daughter to take a picture of him. He's a pretty guy; multi-colored red/black with white tail feathers.

I think I'll buy the chicken feed and let my daughter supply me with eggs this next year. Buying tasteless eggs from the grocery store is not my cuppa tea . . .

We'll probably incubate a new flock beginning in January.
 
That's great. I feel the same way about my hen fruit. I'll go without before I'll buy old eggs from tortured hens. You could have chicks peeping in your living room by mid-February!
