I noticed a little while ago that poor Mr. Scallopini has a broken beak. I have no clue how this happened. What can be done?
The poor guy. Here are the pictures and the bottom one is the other side. I put him in a crate for now so nobody bothers him.

Yeah he should be fine, just clean it up and let it heal. I've seen roosters with their upper beak cut off, I guess to stop from grabbing hold of other birds? Not sure why they do it but they're just fine after, just looks like they have a bum jaw.
Actually had a rooster that we bought from some guy at a swap meet with it's beak clipped, bloody guy was 2' tall, health as all can be.

I will look again this morning and see if it is just the tip. It was dark when I noticed it of course...
My friend suggested glue but I would need another person and wouldn't want to do it wrong.

I had a polish roo do that...I just noticed one day his top tip was gone. I read on here to just make sure the feed trough is nice and full so he can get a good bite of food.

Next morning it was already off but I will post pics of him/his beak.. now when I get a chance. Thanks.

He'll do fine; my SLW has broken the tip off her beak more than once, and aside from it being a little tender for a few days, she's done fine. It grows back just like your fingernails would.

Only it takes alot longer...for that break it'll be about a year. Just watch for splitting on the sides as it grows back-if it does split, just file it down.
