Okay! We just candled our eggs. I will probably do a second candling tomorrow on the blue/olive eggs as long as my magicfly arrives today like its supposed to, because they were really difficult to see into with the incubator's candler. We were able to identify air cells, and on some we could see a "dark" side (where hopefully the embryo is developing) and a light side of the egg. The brown/cream eggs are always a dream to candle - on every brown egg we saw the little peanut shape and dark eye looking out! Some of them were wiggling which was so exciting to the kiddos (and me)!! I tried to let them each see a blue egg and a brown egg so they could see some development.
I hear mixed advice on frequent candling for various reasons, mostly because more handling = more room for dropping, introducing bacteria, etc. I am super cautious about it though and I really want to check on those blue ones again!
I do apologize, in my excitement I was not able to snap the pictures I was hoping to get.
I will update the list with confirmed embryos shortly, and will edit it again tomorrow once I look again at the blue ones! But so far, so good! There were no obvious quitters, I didn't see any blood rings either. Tomorrow will be more enlightening for the blue and green eggs though.
