Mt. Healthy Hatchery EXTRA EXTRA!

I look forward to purchasing from Mt Healthy in a year or so. Looking at Buckeyes and Speckled Sussex. It is very reassuring knowing that so many have had positive outcomes. I'm willing to pay more for some better quality chicks as opposed to a hatchery that is just moving them through like cattle. When I start over ( due to Mycoplasma), I have a hard time deciding on how many...5 or 10. Due to current numbers 20 is too many considering how many eggs are laid vs how many we eat. Ughh.... Chicken math is hard!!

I am pretty excited to receive my order from them next week. The prices seemed alright to me since there is free shipping and just a 40$ order fee, which is still about half the price of shipping from other hatcheries I've seen. Good luck on your chicken math! lol

So exciting to get your order so soon! Yes, I can't wait to eventually order mine. What breeds did you get? Do you already have an existing flock?

Yesss! I ordered 2 ayam cemani hens and 1 ayam cemani roo. I do have a flock already, but they are only 11-12 weeks old.
