Mt. Healthy Hatchery EXTRA EXTRA!

I believe the one with the dark stripe on its back is your Barnevelder with yellow legs. The yellow one with the grey back is probably your Brahma, especially if it has feathered feet and yellow legs. My Olive Eggers from Mt. Healthy were grey and black with feathered legs and feet but only lightly. My Americana roo was all yellow. Also, my Americanas from Mt. Healthy all had green legs. Leg color can tell you a lot! Forgive my trying to write with my computer mouse, but these are some of my chicks from Mt. Healthy if this helps at all! (The little black ones with white bums are Black Australorps.)

By a Quick Look, I think your extra is either a tan w brown stripe chick or a grey one, narrowing it down to an olive egger, isbar, Americana, Legbar or Welsummer. I can pick out the Cuckoo & French Marans, one of the grays is your isbar, the white is the leghorn, poofy cheek is Americana, Brahma is light w feather legs, and two of the stripes are Welsummer & Legbar. Do any of the grey ones have very lightly feathered legs? If so it is your olive egger from French Marans. If not, you would have an olive egger from a Welsummer or Barnevelder. I would definitely get those pasty butts cleaned up….too long with a blockage can hurt/kill them. I have found that very warm water with coconut oil on a paper towel helps it slide off quick and keeps it from sticking the next time. Can’t wait to see the individual pics! 😊

My guesses:
1 Brahma
2 Americana (hard to tell but looks like cheeks are puffy)
3 Isbar
4 Barnevelder
5 Splash Jersey Giant
6 Cream Legbar
7 Cuckoo Maran (make sure you get its little tush clean so it is ok!)
8 Welsummer
9 Black Marans
10 Cream Legbar
11 Olive Egger
12 Leghorn

Best I can do without seeing clear face and back shots...I'm thinking you lucked out w two Cream Legbars...#6 and #10 look almost identical!

These are my strong guesses (minus the Brahama! 1 is absolutely your Brahma! I feel strongly about the Welsummer being number 8 as well and 12 being your White Leghorn)

1 (image 5393) absolutely your Buff Brahma!
2 (image 5394) Possibly Americana (mine from Mt. Healthy all had green legs)
3 (5392) looks like a Splash Jersey Giant/Olive Egger
4 Has me stumped! (image 4391) I do not think this is a Barnevelder from this angle based on the feather and leg coloring
5 (image 5389) Isbar/Silverrudd Blue
6 (image 5388) possibly Barnevelder
7 (image 5387) could be Cuckoo Marans
8 (image 5386) Welsummer
9 (image 5385) Black Copper Marans
10 (image 5384) Cream Legbar
11 (image 5383) Splash Jersey Giant
12 (image 5382) White Leghorn

Pictures were taken as I cleaned brooder. (Large dog crate). I ended up having to soak about half of the chicks to clean them. They are look clean today.

Adorable! I got an extra Americana with my order last year. It took me a little bit to figure it out since one of my Olive Eggers was black and two were blue and I had two chipmunk Americana and two that looked different.
Can you post photos? I’m expecting (chicks-heh) and ordered both Americanas and an Olive Egger

Hi all,

This is my first time ordering chicks from an online hatchery. I will be receiving a batch of 5 chicks next week from Mt. Healthy and I’m very excited! I’m curious if people typically receive “extra” chicks in their orders from Mt. Healthy? I’ve read reviews on other hatcheries where extra chicks (specifically Roos) just magically get added to their order? Yikes! Has anyone experienced this with Mt. Healthy? Just curious!
I've ordered from Mt Healthy. I've gotten a extra one each time

I just received my first batch on Wednesday and was surprised to find one extra buff orpington along with a lavendar orp, blue australorp and blue rock. The lavendar orp is tiny but definitely my favorite!!! I am not sure if I am reading this right because they are so young, but she seems to get picked on a bit but is so curious and just a lovely little bird!
