If anyone is looking for a good place to get chicks, use Mt. Healthy Hatchery. www.mthealthy.com I just got chicks from them and they came so fast and the chicks are so beautiful and friendly. They are located in Ohio.

Our local feed store uses Mt. Healthy, so I've gotten chicks from them the past 3 years. They've always arrived lively, healthy, and in good condition. Can't wait to get some more from them this spring!!

I got an order from them a couple of weeks ago. Did lose a couple the first couple of days, which I attribute to the awful weather they shipped in. The rest are doing just peachy....in fact they are jumping out of the brooder already!

Just received my order for 30 golden comet pullets. All arrived safely and happy, with one extra chick. This is my second order from Mt. Healthy and I'm very pleased. I picked up my first order, but I'm in Florida now so these were shipped. Weather was great last week so coudn't have asked for more. Hens (comets, barred rocks, silver laced wyandottes) I got last year are probably the sweetest and best egg layers that I have. Very nice people to deal with.

at least one local farmers co-op swears by them. the one who selected mt. healthy is himself a breeder of champion Golden Campines; another breeder nearby (of Champion w. silkies) also gets her ameraucana laying flock from them.

i think to their credit is the fact that they only offer about 24 breeds total, unlike others which offer 150 plus---at least some of them do............
