Mt Hope auction-March 31-Apr 2. what peas are you looking for?

Minx, they have swaps in the summer, think the schedule is listed on their website. They have another two auctions late in fall, if remember it's sept/oct and then again beginning of nov...but neither are anywhere near as big as spring.

thinking i need a trailer. lol

Hopefully the sun will stay out today and I can get some pics once we get everyone home, out of their cages and into the quarantine pen. if not, that'll have to wait till tomorrow.

Thanks! Lol isn't it fun seeing people staring at the back of your vehicle trying to get a good look at all the birds? Whenever we get a peafowl people are starting and when we got Dragon his tail was comming out of a big dog box and people were all staring and trying to see what it was lol!

<----- (I got these Barred Rock bantams at the auction! I just love them and got my first egg yesterday.)

That may be a good thing in a way! It was a little crazy at times with all of the people. I didn't see this thread until the auction was over. I was there and would have loved to meet some BYC'ers! Next time, I'm wearing a label or t-shirt!

It really was cold on Thursday! I had to wear my orange bibs and tons of layers! Hope it's nicer weather next time!

I know what you mean about the trailer! This was me during the auction and then afterwards when I realized I had 15 cages to be packed into my little yellow cobalt!

(Anyone happen to see me trying to cram those cages in?) We got 13 in there just right, then realized that we still had two more hiding somewhere in the building!

I would love to find an old camper, gut it and use it to haul birds!

We will definitely have to arrange a meet up in the fall!

Finally got a chance to get a few pics...many, many more up here http://s886.photobucket.com/albums/ac62/jjlouden/6littlechickies/peafowl 041011/ but just a couple here:

Our prize of the auction, an opal white eye male from Brad. let me just say he is stunning! still doesn't rival my bronze boy--don't think I'll ever find one I like as much as him--but coming in a close second right now.
