Mucousy/watery poop, lethargic, and squishy crop

Thank you for all the info! I'll definitely have to look for the rooster booster because I hate seeing my two girls look so poorly when all of the other girls are in good condition! Did you scrub the coop or anything after you treated the coccidiosis?

Coccidia is/are everywhere, in their environment, even in their gut. Coccidiosis is caused by stress..... The coccidia overwhelm a chicken's system while they are stressed.

Have your chickens been wormed? And what did you use?

Do you have to worry about cleaning the outside chicken run or do you just let it runs it's course? We're just coming out of winter here so the run is mostly dirt.

Yes I spot treated the walls and floors with bleach, and then raked it bare. I would rake around it, couldn't hurt. I think its better to take extra precautions'.

All of a chicken's environment needs to be kept as dry as possible. I keep my girl's living quarters clean and dry as possible, but I have never done more than sweep down the walls and shovel out the bedding when cleaning the coop. I have never hosed down the walls or floors.

We were fairly new to chickens so we didn't know that they required deworming, and therefore they didn't get deformed for about a year until I found this website and all the helpful information. We did deworm them sometime in the fall after the first milder episode of what I believed to be coccidiosis. I'm unsure what we used at the time, but what is the recommended de wormer for chickens and how much is the ideal amount to give? How often should you deworm?

Are safeguard and valbazen given in the water? And how long should I wait to deworm after finishing the corid regimen?
