Mucus Discharge From Mouth

I recently got a pair of 1 yr old peafowl. I noticed my male either regurgitated or spit up only a few drops of water with food particles in it. Is this normal should I be worried. Other than that he seems to be acting normal.

Open his mouth and look for his tongue. I have had string get wrapped around a tongue before and pulled it down the throat.
