Mud boots?

went to the website but only saw one pair rubber boot. They did not have my size.

I got mine at costco. For some reason, women around here are wearing colorful rain boots as "fashion."
I have some stripey ones that I love, and they're cute.
Wouldn't wear them in public though...chicken poo and all.

It is best to try these boots on your first before you buy. 99.99% of them are made in china and you get no!! you will get two slightly different fittings. any farm supply store carries them. Anyhow i cannot do without mine.

Around here Walmart carries rubber dairy boots--that's what I have. They're under $20 and mine are still going strong after more than a year. They get to stomp through some pretty serious muck around the horse shed.

That sounds like my oldest daughter...She's a little strange....shhhh don't tell her I said that....She actually has 3 pair of rubber boots (black with colored poka dots, lime green, and bright pink) that she wears ALL the time. Even to school.....

They are NOT THE ONE SHE WEARS IN THE BARN THOUGH....She loves to dress weird.... She is one of those 'funky girls'...lol When she gets a new pair for the barn she wears them out there and makes sure all the animals can see them and admire them...

Heck she even has some other kids wearing rubber barn boots in school now too (and they live right in town--and don't even have chickens let alone a dog...)

I have picked mine up at Fleet Farm (even a few at goodwill or thrift sales). I don't really have a preferred pair over another. It seems no matter what I spend on them within a week or so I have a whole ripped into them or poked and pretty soon my feet get wet....I still like wearing them in the barn though....

I don't buy the cheap $10-20 ones any more... with light use they'd be fine as long as they fit your feet, but for doing horse chores etc multiple times a day, the soles would always split where they flex under the balls of your feet and I was replacing them at *least* once a year.

I now wear, not sure the brand, but they are good insulated gel-insole "farmer boots" you get at the farm store. I believe they were $40-45, don't remember whether that was on sale. I love them to pieces (not *really* to pieces, b/c they're on year 3 and still going strong), they are SOOOOO much warmer and comfier than the cheap ones. In fact they are the comfiest footwear I own. When spring advances enough that I no longer need mud boots I always whine to DH that I want to cut the boots down into clogs and keep wearing them because they make my feet happy

JME,

I bought a pair of Bogs, and LOVE them. Very comfortable, waterproof, keep my feet a little bit warmer this winter in the snow, and they didn't got hot last summer in the heat. I also like them because the uppers are a little bit tighter than regular mud boots so they hold my pants tight and don't let water down in if it's raining (this is Oregon, so that happens a lot!

I got the Roper Bogs . They are a little bit expensive, but we found them for 50% off so that helped. Our daughters all got pairs (fun paisley colored ones) for Christmas

I love Boggs. They fit snug around your legs and no sock slippage. They are wonderful.
