Hi everyone, I am looking for advice on my chicken coop. We have had a lot of rain and the coop and run area are pure mud now. There are even two holes full of murky water. I am so worried about the chickens. Their feet are so muddy. Any help is appreciated!

Welcome! Rain happens, and proper drainage is very important. As a quick fix, add more shavings or sand or whatever to get the birds out of the mud. Ditching to drain the water is good too. Then rethink the slope of the ground, and work out a better plan for drainage. Mary

The mud won't kill them but they do track it in and it get's all over the eggs. Put a pallet down out in the run to give them something to stand on out of the mud if they want to.
