I actually think it's incredibly cute. But then again, all I have are the ducklings.

Yep they have a swimming pool full of water- but I never see them in it.
and everyday the drinking water is a mess.

yes, for us too.... we've had ducks/geese for a year now. We kept emptying the dirty water for clean and couldn't figure out how it was getting so much filth in it, cuz they rarely swam in it. Then one day, hubby saw them, diggin in the dirt, then dipping in the water and sloshing it around... One time we left one of the many water buckets alone for awhile and found tons of their feed in it after emptying the dirty water, which was on the other side of the pen.... Do they regurgitate??? Didn't think so, but seems like it. Despite them being so messy and smelly, they're still my favorite Our chinese geese, a brown and a white, just hatched out 2 babies. It's so much fun to watch them w/ the fuzz balls!

They might have a hard time getting in the pool. Give them a ramp. A rubber maid garbage can lid makes a great easy to clean duck pond.
