Just found the "New Member Introductions" area. I'll paste my post in here as well.

I'm new to this board and just completed my chicken coop last week and got some chicks yesterday. The drawer isn't in, hence the gap area where the ladder is leaning against, and the door is open to the inside coop and being held open with a stick. The chicks are about four weeks old and are; two Buff Orpingtons, one Guinea Fowl (unknown sex) and one unknown rooster.

It's about a 6 x 8 coop with a coop/hutch inside the coop and off the ground and two nesting boxes are off to the left. I placed it in back of my carport which I thought was the best location for it and it gets a lot of sun but the metal roof offers shade and protection from rain.

! Happy to have you aboard! You look like you are well on your way! One bit of advice, the chicken wire around your run is great at keeping chickens in, not so good for keeping predators out. So, unless that large dog is going to be guarding the henhouse, you might want to shore up the coop and run with a little hard ware cloth - just a friendly suggestion that might head off some heartache down the road. My dog is a spoiled, inside dog and won't be guarding the hen house. I have hardware cloth on top of the chicken wire going around the bottom of the coop and haven't had any probs with predators like raccoons, foxes, or possums so I hope that will be okay.
