I keep bags of Chicken Chow Crumbles and Scratch Grains in the same 30 gallon galvanized trash can in the coop shed. When one bag is emptier than the other they fall on top of each other, it's kind of a pain.
So I divided the can in half with a piece of 1/2" plywood. The bottom of the plywood is kept centered by sitting in a groove cut into a 1x2, the top of the plywood is held to the sides of the can with a couple of screws. I think it will work great.
Thought I'd share it here in case anyone else might find it useful.
