I think I’m too much of a soft hearted person for chickens. Today we found our sweet Queenie dead. She was in the maternity ward with her sister and two chicks. Her sister got out and there are feathers everywhere. Idk what happened. But we have lost some to a fox, some to a hawk and now this. It’s just so sad. We have 3 older full sized hens 4 yrs old. Two female bantams 1yr old, 1 bantam rooster 1yr old he is guarding the older hens and his brother that got killed was the protector of the little girls. 4 bantam 3 months and I’m pretty sure 1 is a rooster. And 4 week old bantams. Is there anyone interested near us in Nashville Tn or Bowlinggreen Ky?
