I set 18 eggs under a hen a little over a week ago. Since then 2 more hens have gone broody and all are n the same nest. I moved the eggs into a bigger basker and put 8 on one side and 8 on the other so 2 of the hens will have thier own eggs. Put 3rd broody in a cage to try to break her. This evening she is back in nest with the other 2. Will this be a problem? They don't fight. They seem fine being together.

Why not give her a few eggs to hatch also?

I have been kicking my cochin out of the nest everyday for a week. No more babies.

currrently the 16 eggs are spread across the bottom of the nest (a double milk crate) and each chicken seems to stay in the same. It is a tight fit but they are not on top of each other

I tried seperating each with eggs but they all went back to same spot. So moved a larger nest to that spot for them all.
