Multiple Chick Issues - is it Me or the Hatchery?

I mentioned earlier that I had 7 fall chicks that failed to thrive. One died at three weeks and one just died at 2 months. Our state diagnostic lab examined the 2 month old juvenile that died, and he had coccidiosis, even though we’ve had them on medicated starter since picking them up at three days old. There are five chicks left and two are smaller than the others; I plan to start the 0.024% amprolium in water as soon as I get home.

It seems like cocci has been especially rampant the last couple years, from posts on here and various FB groups I'm in. My friend just lost 20 chicks I gave her at 2 months from it, even the Corid water didn't save more than 4. I think weather patterns are influencing it partly.
