Multiple coops Vs one big coop

Hi we are still deciding which one is better. I just want to see hear your oppinion

Well currently I have around 30 chickens (I think) and Im hatching + planing on getting more girls

Are these meat birds, layers, or both? Regular, bantams, or both? Are you raise for showing them, just barnyard flock,or both?

I like multiple coops so you can seperate your flock and breed some hens with one rooster without worrying about getting another rooster breeding with them. Just my opinion. Also, we free range our chooks but that’s what I’d do if we couldn’t for some reason.

Depends on the situation if you have multiple flocks then you need multiple coops, if you have one flock then you need one coop.

At this point in time I have one flock so I need one coop. Sometime in he future I’d like to have a bantam flock, a full sized flock, and perhaps a meat and laying flock. For that I’ll need multiple coops.

At the moment there are around 3 flocks I think. They free range together

Multiple coops is more expensive per square foot, but much more versatile. You do not know what your will want to do in the future. A compromise is to make one large coop that can be subdivided.
