Depends on the situation if you have multiple flocks then you need multiple coops, if you have one flock then you need one coop.

At this point in time I have one flock so I need one coop. Sometime in he future I’d like to have a bantam flock, a full sized flock, and perhaps a meat and laying flock. For that I’ll need multiple coops.

At the moment there are around 3 flocks I think. They free range together
