I have a "mini" bantam hen and rooster. They are about the size of a large softball. I bought them locally and he breeds them for size. The hen, I was told was just starting to lay, so I was ready for a few wierdo eggs. The first eggs we got in our coop looked normal so after about 9 eggs she went broody and sat on them 24/7. I was so excited! But after about 30-35 days I cracked one open to find no yolk! None of the 9 had a yolk.. :( so after about a week of no laying I got one today. No yolk again!

So my question is...Is it normal for multiple no yolks? I know its normal for one or two, but ten?? technically in a row..... Is she just too small? I have a hard time believing this because the couple I got them from breed regularly. I'm lost... :(

he proabaly gave them to you because he knew that it would lay bad eggs lol are these eggs of normal size ??

I dont think he would do that, and I bought them. HE was really nice and people are pretty honest around here. The eggs can fit on a quarter.
I guess I'll call him, maybe he'll know why...

The problem also might be due to inbreeding if he breeds them for size then mist likely his chickens are quite inbred but talk to him he may have the solution
