Murray McMurray sickly "free chick"?

These "free" chicks always seem to die or come dead. All the other chicks have arrived healthy and happy. It drank when I dipped its beak but still does not act very perky. I feel badly I can never seem to get these guys started when all the other chicks do well. Any tips out there?

would a little sugar water work... also niacin in its water???

Did yours perk up? Our 'freebie' is our wildest one! Perky and seems to be ruling the pack LOL

The "freebie" is still alive this morning. I gave them all sugar water but no niacin. He feebly eats and drinks a very little bit occasionally. He came with the Cornish broilers and is alot smaller. I think they walked all over it for three days...
