MUSCOVIES

There is nothing on there but baby ducks less than 2 weeks old......
Whats wrong with baby ducks? other than having to keep them in a brooder for a while change the bedding daily and have the wonderful smell in your house? Got a problem with all of that?

I am looking for a female Muscovy. I have 2 drakes and a female. I bought them :(as babies and didnt know the sex. I am looking for a hand raised Muscovy to go with my other 3 that are super friendly.. I cannot find one in the whole state of Michigan. I did find 2 females at a rescue in Md but to far for me... Hmmmm?
Ya might wanta try some swap meets, in this area there are nearly always 'scovies at them:

I would post to Craig's list in the farm and garden area that i was looking for Muscovies. I found some Dorking owners/breeders that way for a friend.

I know your question is out of curiosity but why would you want to take the most distinctive feature associated with the moscovie breed? I used to think moscovies mask was ugly unattractive.........til i bought my first one, now they are one of my favorite breeds of ducks!!

I also agree - thought the birds were down right ugly, now they are my favorite and have considered only raising and breeding Muscovy's in the future. I started with 20 Pekins and have reduced them down to one (just because I want to hatch a hybrid for the fun of it). The Muscovy's are just so great to watch - they are super quiet - friendly - and cleaner than my Pekins.
