Ok.. So i have one muscovy drake and 5 ancona females as well as a mixed ancona female (cant remember what shes mixed with but shes mostly black with white spots). My muscovy is very good at taking advantage of my girls... Now i know that if they do have babies theyll be sterile and thats fine. But my question is how do i know the eggs are fertile and whats the likelihood of them making it to hatch? Are they more prone to die rather than hatch? I just popped 16 in an incubator and just wondering if i should get some more in there for a better chance at babies. Im new to this so i have no idea what im doing lol.

In about five or six days you'll be able to candle them and see if they are alive :) The ducklings you're hatching are called mule ducks, and they will take 32 days to hatch.
Thank you. Would you happen to know what their fertility rate is? Hes on my girls a good portion of the day so im sure hes putting in work

Probably not high, maybe around 20 to 30 percent.
I didnt think it would be high.. I guesd i should collect a few more to put in the incubator then. Ive got 16 in but 2 are questionable because im not sure how long they were outside (the girls hide them on me sometimes) im only wanting a few so its good to know my odds. Thanks a bunch! Ill keep this updated if things work out
