What beauties!!! I love the coloring of the Muskovies I have seen. All colors and shadings.
Mine are so different. Darkwing has shiny green wings and a white tummy, Flier has a rust colored back and the whitest color white I have ever seen on her tummy... Flipper is silver with a rust herringbone pattern on his breast. They are so funny!!! Love Muskovies - Great pics !!!

These are my first venture into Muscovies - or ducks of any type - but find the coloring interesting.

The mother is a chocolate muscovy with brown and white feathers - then - well you see the coloring of the Papa...and these babies are mostly this black and white. Their feet are so big that they come out of the pen and then just plop down - like it is almost too much to balance themselves.

Strange little duckies though...they will run from water coming from the hose and just drink from the large pond - like they are afraid of water - although they will take a running start to slide into the low pan of water, skidding across the surface and then out - then circle round and do it all over again - just like kids running into a wading pool!

My ducklings are about 6 - 7 weeks old. I've had them all separated from the male because when I put one of the babies out with the drake, he was nipping at it.

Is it safe to let them all be together ...the females, ducklings and drake?

Thanks
