I thought I should share this just in case anyone out there has a duck like mine who lays in the worst places.
I'll start from the begining:
Ducky laid her eggs in the feeder area of my stock trailer. The floor is metal, and underneath it is a storage compartment. That compartment is all but empty, so at night, it gets rather cool. I didn't move Ducky because I didn't want to stress her. Next time I'll just suck it up and move her, because this was quite the nail-biter!
The clutch hit day 35 on July 26th. The first two ducklings hatched this morning, and two more are pipped now.

I'm shocked that the eggs are hatching. I figured that they would all just run out of food or have some malformation from the super slow incubation... but alas, they look great!
I'm so happy, and I just wanted to share this little beacon of hope with the BYCers
I'll update when more hatch out!
