muscovy colour and pattern? I finally have pictures....I think.

Ok everybody! What is the colour and pattern? His parents are both black peid.
They are brother and sister.

Whatever the breeding you must've succeeded!
I don't have any idea what color, just that I've never seen any of the feral muscovies around her looking anything like this.
 
The Color Pattern is called Rippled
 
I suspected ripple.. now what colour and how out of two black/pied did I get this strange
brownish colour?

Looks like a Blue Ripple to me. the color is hard to get a good idea of though, i see some brownish tones but I am not sure if it's the lighting or what. You can get blue out of black/black breedings, but it also depends on what other colors the parents are carrying.
 
The recessive ripple gene causes the pattern whilst also diluting the black ground colour to blue grey. Both related (brother/sister) parents obviously carried hidden one dose each of the recessive ripple gene & above pictured progeny inherited two doses, one from each parent. They (parents) were likely pied patterned as a result of one dose each of the incompletely dominant white gene, but the above produced bird hasn't inherited same.
