I have 2 drakes that are brothers and 4 females.the one drake is loosing so many feathers and looks like an abused duck.there is also skin showing.the one drake is doing this to him.he constantly is chasing him and when he is mating another female the other drake proceeds to pick at him until he is off the female. Is this normal to have all that feather loss and skin showing or is this considered the poor guy is being abused?

Both actually, both my drakes father and son look like you described. One will be dominant and the other one will have to tow the line and get a girl when he can. It is just the law of the Muscovy's only way to prevent it is to separate them into 2 separate clans. Once mating season is over they will molt and look normal again. If it get to the place where one is starting to bleed and looks like it getting to be more than just reg. drake disputes then you may have to separate anyway to keep from having serious injury or death. You'll know the difference.

As ML said! totally normal, my younger drake has no tail feathers, he looks absurd. They don't fight everyday, but sure do go at it at times. They have 8 ducks to share, 1 more up & coming(she's under 4mths) and then a few more from some new hatches and new purchases.

Separation is the only option if it's getting serious, i house my drakes separate at night, during the day they free range.
